Coach Mariah Cortez
Ms. Cortez will be serving as a Girls' Athletic Coach and an Investigating Careers teacher this year. She has over 5 years of teaching experience teaching 6th & 8th grade ELAR, as well as reading intervention. She has her Bachelors Degree of Art in English and Art from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin.
Ms. Cortez is most excited to teach at a school that prioritizes student collaboration, creativity and problem solving! She looks forward to helping create lifelong learners and readers at Wagner Middle School!
Outside of work, Mariah likes to play with her pup (Stitch) and her cat (Shadow). She also likes to play soccer, paint, read or listen to live music. She has four younger siblings and the cutest niece and nephew ever!
