Ruth Clark (SBT)

Mrs. Clark has over 10 years of behavioral health experience in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient behavioral health hospitals, private practice counseling, and education. She is also a former middle school ELA teacher. Mrs. Clark joined GISD last year as a School-Based Therapist and is joining WMS as our first site-based SBT this year.

Mrs. Clark holds her Bachelor of Science in Education from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC, and her Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, as well as a Supervisor for Masters Level Social Workers looking to attain their Clinical Licensure.

This year, Mrs. Clark is most excited to be joining the Wolfpack and getting to know the amazing students and faculty at WMS. Her passion is assisting individuals in identifying and overcoming obstacles and being the best version of themselves – at school, at home, and in the community!

Outside of work, Mrs. Clark enjoys spending time with her family exploring neighboring towns and finding good Texas BBQ or live music! You’ll often find her picnicking with her family on the Square, enjoying the outdoors and meeting new people.

Mrs. Clark is a native of the beaches of South Carolina, though has been in the Austin area since 2008. She lives in Georgetown with her husband, 18 and 13-year old stepdaughters, 6 year old son, and 3 year old daughter. There is never a dull moment in the Clark household! With 3 of her 4 children in GISD schools, Mrs. Clark is passionate about investing in and empowering kiddos of all ages and backgrounds in our community.
