Leo Rodriguez

Mr. Rodriguez is an 8th grade math teacher this year at Wagner Middle School. He has been in public education for 9 years. During those 9 years, he has held positions such as an Inclusion Teacher and as an ESL Aide, in addition to currently being a math teacher. Mr. Rodriguez received his bachelor's degree from Texas State University.

What is most exciting for Mr. Rodriguez is to be working at Wagner is the flexibility that teachers have in how students can be taught, while also feeling empowered to try new things along with using different resources and the collaboration with his teammates. He enjoys thinking outside of the box!

While not teaching, Mr. Rodriguez loves trying out new food and restaurants around town. He loves to hang out with his family and friends, and is especially a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He has been married for 9 years, and they have two sons together, one who will be born in May of 2021. They also have two fur kids, who are Westie dogs. An interesting fact about Mr. Rodriguez has an identical twin and he loves playing video games on his phone and PS5.
