Michelle Barreto

Michelle Barreto has 18 years experience in education. Ms. Barreto has taught 6-8 Math, 1-5 Elementary, 5th Grade Science and served as a Math Intervention 6-8. She has a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State.

Ms. Barreto is excited to be at Wagner MS because it is an environment that promotes collaboration not only academically but in an actual physical space as well. 

In her free time, Ms. Barreto enjoys spending time with family (3 teenagers, one a junior in high school and boy/girl twin sophomores in high school) and friends. She says her house is usually full of people, and that she loves that.

Ms. Barreto met her Brazilian husband while teaching in Brazil from 1998-2002 and together they have 3 beautiful children. Their home is known as Little Brazil for many reasons, but one main reason is because her husband is an excellent cook!
